District administration to develop land bank

INDORE: In a bid to restrict fraudulent use of government land, the administration is preparing a land bank of the nazul land which is scattered all over the district. It will stop any individual or colonizer to sell the government land fraudulently.
A district administration official told to media that the details of all the government land would be collected and a bank of government land would be prepared.This list will be forwarded to all the registrars, so that a fraudulent registry of government land is checked.
He further said that the administration has already prepared the land bank and details of all the nazul land which is present in the rural areas of the district, the works for preparing the land bank in urban areas is going on.
Sources said that till, date during the joint drive of the police and the administration several complaints of the sale of the government land by mischievous colonizers have been received by the administration and the practice is quite a common.
Sources said that the verification of the documents could not be done properly at the registrar office as no detailed information regarding the nazul land is available there.
But with this there would be a complete check on the malpractice.
The move will serve duel purpose for the administration, on one hand it will ensure that fraudulent registries are not done; on the other hand it would also make the administration update with the availability of land for industrial and other purposes as and when required.
